We are constantly looking for innovative ways to reduce the impact our business activities have upon the environment and by taking constant small steps we believe we can offset increasing overheads and maintain our ability to provide cost-effective solutions for our customers, while helping to preserve the planet for future generations.
With our cleaning service, for example, we are constantly looking for new ways to reduce the impact of our business activities upon the environment. These innovations include not only the selection of chemicals we also source environmental friendly and/or non-chemical products for our service operations, such as micro fibre fabrics. Many of our vehicles are managed with a GPRS system to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and carbon footprint.
We also seek to educate our clients in the benefits of pest prevention as opposed to pest control, allowing us to eventually dispense with the use of chemicals.
A few special initiatives include the encouragement of a more responsible use of energy and resources among our employees, seen for instance in the PCS office reminders to “reuse, recycle, and reduce.”
PCS is also planning to implement environment management systems (IS0 14000).
